SUMMER DANCE INSTRUCTORS

Join us for an exciting summer adventure as we blend the art of dance with the warmth of biblical teachings in our Paradise City Dance Camps!
If you have a passion for nurturing young talents and fostering a faith-filled environment, we want you on our team.
There are 4 Total Camps: Rec Camps & 2 Dance Intensive Camps
- June 10-13: Rec Camp "Wind & Waves" Ages 6-11
- June 17-20: Intensive Camp "Wind & Waves" Ages 9-18
- July 15-18: Rec Camp "Field & Flowers" Ages 6-11
- July 22-25: Intensive Camp "Hills & Valleys" Ages 9-18
Rec Camp Instructor: guide young dancers through various dance styles, engage them in creative crafts, and lead inspirational Bible time sessions. This is more than just a dance camp; it's an opportunity to inspire and uplift young hearts. (Think VBS meets dance classes!)
Dance Intensive Instructor: the children coming are EAGER to grow in their skill & they still want community time with their young sisters in Christ. Lead them through dance choreography in various styles as well as giving time for prayer & a biblical message.
Owner, Tamara, will be there to help guide the crafts & Bible time, what we’re seeking is the dance instruction.
PAY:
Starting $400-500 for the week

About Us:
Paradise City Dance & Wellness Center is a Christian-based studio located in Santa Rosa Beach, FL, blending faith, movement, and community. We aim to inspire joy and foster artistic expression through dance, wellness, and prayer.
Position Overview:
We are seeking passionate individuals to join our ministry-driven team as Christian Dance Teachers. This position goes beyond traditional dance instruction; it's an opportunity to impact lives, nurture artistic expression, and create an environment rooted in faith and community. No previous dance teaching experience required...your dance experience from childhood or drive later in life will carry-over in most situations. Don't disquailify yourself, momma, you're capable ;) keep reading if God is tapping you!
Qualifications:
- Passion for dance and a genuine desire to make a positive impact on students' lives.
- Experience in dance, whether professional or personal, is valued.
- Strong commitment to Christian values and the ability to share these values with students.
- Comfortable teaching various dance styles, including ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, hip-hop, contemporary, etc. If you're skilled in one area over another, that's fine too, just include it in your application letter.
Responsibilities:
- Teach 1-6 classes per week, depending on personal preference.
- Attend quarterly teacher trainings and the annual Dance Revolution event.
- Prepare and lead dynamic classes based on provided outlines, adding personal flair.
- Communicate effectively with parents, students, and studio management.
- Conduct skills and growth assessments, providing progress reports to parents.
- Choreograph routines for recitals
- If teaching CORE classes, choreograph reoutines for community performances
- Lead prayer time and thankful circles at the end of each class.
- Uphold a modest dress code, modeling poise and respect for students.
- Play only Christian, dance instructional, and instrumental music in class.
Compensation:
- Starting at $15/class, increasing to $45/class based on studio and personal class growth.
- Two-month initial contract, with the opportunity to extend to 3, 6, or 12 months.
- Teachers must be present at recitals (Jan-May 2024) and have the option for summer camp sessions.
- Continued opportunities for growth and involvement in studio activities.

ARTISTIC DIRECTOR & ASSISTANT
Overview:
Paradise City Dance & Wellness Center is seeking a dynamic and creative individual to join our team as an Artistic Director Intern. This position is ideal for a fine arts student or dance enthusiast looking to gain valuable experience in choreography, skill assessment development, and artistic direction within a Christian dance studio.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the studio owner to develop skill assessments and class outlines that align with the studio's vision and curriculum.
- Create innovative and engaging choreography for various dance styles including ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, tumbling, acro intro, hip hop, and Praise & Worship.
- Communicate directly with studio staff to ensure clear understanding and execution of choreography, providing in-person or recorded demonstrations.
- Assist in leading the staff during recital planning, including outlining the program, coordinating timing, and contributing artistic elements.
- Embrace and enhance the Christian foundation of our studio in all artistic endeavors.
Qualifications:
- Pursuing a degree in fine arts, dance, or a related field. Or simply a dance enthusiast looking to use their skills in a new and vibrant way.
- Passion for dance, creativity, and artistic expression.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with the studio owner and staff.
- Strong computer & design skills for effectively laying out details of skills assessments & class outlines
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Understanding and appreciation for the Christian values upheld by the studio.
Details:
- Duration: Up to 4 hours per week from time of acceptance to Recital May 4, 2024, with an opportunity to continue future seasons collaboration upon assessment.
- Location: Position available for local or remote interns.
- Compensation: $15/hour
